As we entered the final pit stop on Friday afternoon (Pit Stop 5 at 17.6 miles into the
day's walk) it began to rain. When the lightning started to flash, 3-Day staff forced
everyone to take shelter - first on busses, and then inside the cafeteria of a nearby
elementary school. Those faster walkers who had already made it back to camp had
to take refuge in either the town's high school or middle school.

After a couple hours of waiting, we were transferred back to camp, where we were
told we'd have to spend the night indoors. What a lovely experience! You got to know
your neighbors really, really well.

Enjoy the photos from our storm relocation! Oh... Carrie and Jason earned two 3-Day
"Legacy Pins" for this one... check them out!
